Christ Ahnsahnghong is God – Part 1
THE QUESTION IS…DO YOU BELIEVE IN JESUS?
“Today, two billion people in the world easily believe that a 33-year-old Jewish carpenter, who was single his whole life, hung around prostitutes and tax collectors, rode around on donkeys, told people to eat his flesh and drink his blood for salvation…is the Christ.”
Sounds pretty ridiculous, right?
I read this recently on a blog. I realized that, growing up Catholic, I never really questioned Jesus and the life he lived. I knew he turned water into wine, made the lame walk, healed the sick, and even resurrected the dead. Basically, I knew Jesus for his miracles and nothing else. I figured his miracles were the reason people today believe he’s their “personal Lord and Savior” and the disciples did too.
Answer this: Why do YOU believe in Jesus Christ? Because of his miracles? Do you think we’ll recognize second coming Christ also because of his miracles? Do you think he will go from city to city healing the sick? Making the lame walk? What would you do if he went from town to town resurrecting people from the dead?
The disciples didn’t believe and follow Christ for his miracles (maybe that explains why there were only twelve).
John 6:68 Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life.”
They believed Christ because of his teachings — his words of eternal life.
In fact, right before Simon Peter said the above to Jesus, this is what happened:
John 6:1 […] Jesus crossed over to the far side of the Sea of Galilee…A huge crowd kept following him wherever he went, because they saw his miraculous signs as he healed the sick.
This is the famous scene when Jesus feeds the 5,000 people with just five barley loaves and two fish. The people saw this miracle, and continued to follow Christ.
John 6:14 When the people saw him do this miraculous sign, they exclaimed, “Surely, he is the Prophet we have been expecting!” …Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, you want to be with me because I fed you, not because you understood the miraculous signs.”
Because the people continued to follow Jesus, He let them know how they could receive eternal life.
John 6:53 So Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you cannot have eternal life within you. But anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise that person at the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.”
John 6:60 Many of his disciples said, “This is very hard to understand. How can anyone accept it?”
John 6:66 At this point many of his disciples turned away and deserted him. Then Jesus turned to the Twelve and asked, “Are you also going to leave?” Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life.”
The crowd followed Jesus because of the miracles they saw him perform. But the Twelve followed because Jesus gave them the teachings that lead them to eternal life. What about Christ Ahnsahnghong today? Out of seven billion people in the world, only two million believe that He is the Christ. Sounds familiar? The members of the WMSCOG believe in Christ Ahnsahnghong, not because of miracles, but because of His teachings that tell us what we need to go to heaven.
So let’s compare the teachings of Jesus Christ and the teachings of Christ Ahnsahnghong.
- He taught about baptism.
- He kept the Sabbath day setting the example for us.
- He established the New Covenant Passover promising eternal life.
- Left us one last message that the Spirit and the Bride would give us eternal life.
If you believe in Jesus Christ because of His teachings then you’ll have no problem understanding why we believe that Christ Ahnsahnghong is the second coming Jesus. The teachings are the same. And according to biblical prophecy, only second coming Christ would be able to reestablish these teachings of the early Church.
But one question remains. Why did Jesus perform all these miracles? Why doesn’t Christ Ahnsahnghong or Heavenly Mother perform any miracles. Read Part II of this post.
